Although I dont play this game all the time it is fun when you have a group of people together who arent intimidated about being a goofball. I personally do not sing well but get a kick out of belting out funky cold medina. The in game navigation is a bit difficult to find some functions (specifically the mic sync option to account for delay between mic and speakers) but this doesn’t spoil the game. I know you can buy songs online but I do wish the game itself came with more tracks. Or even a voucher for 5 downloads of your choice. I just find it difficult after shelling out cash for a game to immediately pay more money to make it complete.

There is a bit of a lag in the mic output in my tv speaker. Does not have a very extensive song library to purchase online. I gave this to my wife as a gift and she loved it.

This game has some great songs. For instance, “Dude (Looks Like A Lady)” by Aerosmith, oldie “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” by Elton John and Kiki Dee, even “Funky Cold Medina by Tone Loc but it is a tad touchy with your voice. You have to sound a bit like the original artists to get a really high score. But the fact remains it is a real blast!!! I guess some may not like the variety of styles the songs have but this to me is its appeal.

I bought this for the microphones, not for the songs. I enjoyed both the Abba and Queen versions of Singstar more than this — we hardly ever put this disc in. It’s a somewhat inexpensive way to get all the songs if you really wanted all these songs, but there are few if any on the list that I would have purchased separately if given the chance. [. . . ].
Since you need the mikes to play, though, and they aren’t really sold individually (unless you get them used), this becomes an attractive option.
The gameplay itself is a lot of fun, and is accessible to nearly all ages (though my five year old is upset her older sisters consistently beat her scores — but that doesn’t stop her from loudly singing, mostly on-key).

The play list is not that good. But the game is in great shape and came packaged like new. Will order again.
