How do i use the tactician in killzone 2?

Ive been playing Killzone 2 online for quite a while now and unlocked the tactician class. Strangely i cant throw the smoke granades where i want. I press the left direction button but the only thing that happens is that i take my granades out. Can somebody tell me what im doing wrong?

Are you sure you’re selecting the grenade and it shows it on your Screen? if it shows it you should be able to throw it because if there are too many spawn points it wont let you select the grenade at all. It sounds like you aren’t doing anything wrong, unless you’re trying to use the grenade button, you use the primary fire button to throw the smoke grenade.
hey mate… simple really… press left then hit the r1 button.. the same one you use to fire a normal weapon… then hit left again to default back to your own weapon.
A word of advice though… when you throw a spawn grenade always be mindful of where people will spawn. when you place a spawn grenade the people will alway spawn the opposite direction you are facing when you throw the grenade.
its best to throw it into an enclosed corner or somewhere the people spawning cant get shot in the back the minute they spawn.
